Buddies4Math ran a virtual, summer program over the course of 8 weeks. With 30 volunteers, we created 4 project teams to create play based modules for our B4M program. The teams worked on thematic modules of art, STEM, no-bake, and graphic and card game creation with the intent of creating math and educational-based enrichment in fun, engaging forms to be used during our in-person B4M volunteering.
Our summer program was flex-hour based volunteering for asynchronous group work, each group checked in during the week and we held a weekly Friday meeting for all summer volunteers. In these Friday meetings, we showcased weekly work and got feedback from peers so that all groups could have input and give advice.
