Buddies4Math is an after school program launched in 2010 with 8 tutors and 14 students at Castro school in Mountain View by Neel Guha. Middle and high school students tutor elementary students in math in weekly sessions. We are the only student led organization that draws its volunteers from 20 different Middle & High schools in the Bay area. We operate in four elementary schools in the Mountain View Whisman School District and tutor over 150 students in weekly sessions. We have expanded our program to include Scratch, Maker workshops and MathUnboxed for our students.
In the wake of Covid19, we have transitioned to building our virtual content until we can be back in the classroom with our elementary buddies.
