We are deeply grateful to Dr Judy Crates, Principal Castro Elementary School for giving us the opportunity to start this program. Thanks to her support and efforts, in Spring 2010 we could bring together third graders and Middle schoolers every Friday afternoon actively engaged and absorbed in math games. Our classroom was buzzing with curious minds, the sound of pencil scratching paper, squeals of laughter, many a puzzled looks but always an engaged audience.
For tremendous logistical and overarching program support at Castro School, thanks to Laurissa Clements and Abby Longcor.
Last but not the least, our wonderful, talented and motivated tutors for spending every Friday afternoon volunteering to teach math. We are in awe and deep appreciation of all our tutors who took the time and effort to volunteer when they could have been hanging out with friends, watching television or playing video games.
