The No-bake module combined mathematical concepts with something no kid can resist – sweets! The small group created activities involving food so students would be able to interact and be engaged in the math topics. Instruction sheets were created detailing recipes, decorating, assembly, and creation of different edible products that employed key concepts such as fractions, ratios, and mathematical operations. The 7 instruction sheets and no-bake activities produced will be used as a special treat for our students on a designated Friday as well as a student-family baking carnival where families can rotate through different stations led by our tutors to create and enjoy multiple edible treats made with math!
