The STEM module focused on creating easily accessible and doable experiments and activities covering topics in biology, chemistry, physics, engineering, and computer science to create engaging in-classroom activities that vary from math. Students expressed interest in science, many saying it was their favorite subject, so the STEM group created 15 experiments to teach about STEM concepts as well as several coding projects and workshops for the students to engage alongside the B4M tutors. The experiments were also created with the materials needed in mind so that many of the resources needed can be bought in bulk and used for various experiments and different concepts. Instruction sheets with graphics, detailed procedures, and data recording charts were created for each experiment and varied for grade level difficulty as well. Each instruction sheet also included a detailed but easy-to-follow explanation of the science concept so the students could connect their experiment and real-world science observations to the scientific concept.
